Bosley’s Hair-Raising Generosity Saves Lives

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this past October, Bosley once again joined the fight against this deadly disease. With a generous donation of $30,000, Bosley continues to demonstrate its ongoing commitment to supporting breast cancer research, diagnosis, and treatment. This year’s contribution brings Bosley’s total donations to over $280,000 since fundraising efforts began in 2014.

“We are incredibly grateful for Bosley’s continued support of the fight against breast cancer,” said Paula Schneider, President and CEO of Susan G. Komen. “Bosley’s generous donation will help us continue to fund life-saving research, provide support services to those affected by breast cancer, and educate women about the importance of early detection.”

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide, affecting 1 in every 8 women in their lifetime. It is also the second leading cause of cancer death among women. Early detection is key to successful treatment, so Bosley encourages all women to get regular mammograms and breast exams.

“We are committed to making a difference in the fight against breast cancer,” said Rob Spurrell, CEO of Bosley. “We know that many of our employees and their families have been affected by this disease, and we want to do everything we can to help find a cure.”

To reach Bosley’s generous annual contributions, Bosley raises money a number of different ways. First, they donate a portion of the proceeds from each hair transplant procedure performed during the month of October. Then Bosley team members had the opportunity to donate money from their unused PTO, allowing for significant financial contribution, without “breaking the bank”. Bosley also sold “pink inspired” Bosley merchandise including hoodies, shirts, Croc-style shoes and coffee tumblers. To show their spirit, Bosley surgical offices decorated their hallways and waiting rooms with pink ribbons and decorations to create an atmosphere of support for this important cause.

Bosley is proud to be a part of the fight against breast cancer, and the company is committed to continuing to support this important cause. With the help of its employees and partners, Bosley is making a difference in the lives of women and families affected by breast cancer.
